Getting In Touch With Your Heritage at 8 1/2 Months Old

Last night we're sitting at the table eating dinner. Mina was getting fussy so Jose picked her up and held her in his lap while he finished eating. She kept eyeing his food so he gave her a little piece of tortilla. She seemed content until she saw him drink his Kool-Aide. Everytime he brought the glass close to her she opened her mouth expecting to get some. So they took turns drinking Kool-Aide. And as she waited for her turn, she sucked on her little piece of tortilla. It was the cutest thing. We were joking that she's in touch with her Black and Mexican sides already. Now she just needs to like something that will bring out her White side.

Hee! As a white girl married to a Mexican-American I have to laugh at this.

I make my kids eat mashed potatoes. That's about as white as it gets.

Yeah, mashed potatoes sounds right!

I was thinking Heinz Baked Beans. (Ask Brooke!) ;-D

BTW, when are we gonna see those cute baby pics I heard about?
