Those things start out at $85 just for a small one!We found the cutest Hello Kitty decorations at Party City but they had the crappiest pinatas.I thought Mina wasn't going to have a pinata because we couldn't find a Hello Kitty pinata.Thankfully we went to local grocery store that had pinatas and I changed it so it had Hello Kitty all over it.To our surprise, my coworker Cele showed up to the party with a huge Hello Kitty-shaped pinata that he got for Mina in TJ.For the food, we decided to have a potluck.Everyone pulled through and we ended up having a great BBQ.My mind was so scattered from planning the party, working, and going to school that I almost forgot to order a cake.We were ableto find a pretty cute Hello Kitty cake at Sam's Club.I honestly didn't think that Mina's first birthday party would be so exhausting. At least I know how to plan..it and hopefully it will get easier each year.Oh yeah, and Mina got her 4th tooth a couple of days before the party (she's currently working on getting her 5th).

I think I was the most excited out of the three of us because I hadn't been since my grad night back in '99. I was also excited because it would be another first for Mina. We didn't get there until 2PM so it was unbarebly hot. Luckily around 5PM, it started to cool off. Mina was such a good girl. She sat in her stroller and just stared at everything and everyone. We even stood in a few lines just so she could experience the rides. We only went on 3 but it we were happy with just getting on 1. If you're curious, we went on Pirates of the Carribean, It's a Small World, and the Haunted Mansion. We think Mina liked Pirates the best because of the drops. We even bought her her first "ear" hat which looked too cute on her. We walked around a lot, took a few pictures, and spent time in the gift shops (to cool off). It sounds like we didn't do much but we were exhausted. We'll be going back next month around Halloween time. Here are a few pictures.

| View | Add Favorite

Overwhelmed (but in a good way)

Last night, Mina took her first steps by herself! 4 to be exact. We figured we'd make one that was from us and when she was older, she would make her own. Jose went through the whole process and had Mina right there so she could see everything. We decided on a bubblegum bear and we picked a heart of courage. We want Mina to be strong and courageous. Anyways, Mina had a ball. Actually, I think Jose and I had more fun especially when it came time to pick out the outfit. If you know either one of us then the outfit is not surprising. We dressed the bear in a cute little skirt outfit with a hoodie and black boots. We named Mina's bear Daria because we both loved the show and we think it's very fitting. We were so happy when Mina grabbed her and gave her a huge, sloppy kiss. They're best friends now and hopefully Mina will have her for a long time. Welcome to the family, Daria.

We Have One!

One what? A TOOTH!!!! Mina's first tooth finally broke through sometime this weekend. It's on the bottom on the left. Let's see how long it takes for the next one.

The Best Pictures (so far)

I wanted you all to see how freakin' lucky we are to have this girl. She should be a model. No, seriously she should. She's never had a bad picture. All of the professional pictures that she's had taken have been at JC Penny's (well, with one exception which will be left unmentioned). I've been really happy with Penny's especially this time. She had so much fun with the props. If you're wondering, the bear belongs to Mina and her name is Daria. I'll tell you about her later.

A Quick Update

I went back to the OB/GYN yesterday for the results of the biopsy. There's nothing to worry about, nothing life threatening. I just have to go every 6 months for a routine papsmear for the next 2 years. It's just to make sure everything stays ok. I can still have babies and I'm healthy so I'm OK. I did however find out that since I'm still nursing, getting pregnant is a hit or miss. As soon as I stop nursing, it will be easier to have another one. We're still trying and if it doesn't work then we'll see what happens as soon as Mina's ready to be on her own.

Who's Your Dadadadbababadadada?

Monday afternoon I had to take an hour and a half lunch because I was working open to close. I decided to go home and visit with Mina and Jose. Everything was fine while I was there (even changed a diaper). Maybe an hour after I got back to work, Jose called me. "Listen to your daughter." I hear Mina in the background having a conversation (in baby language, of course!) But I could actually make out one word that she was saying. She said "Da Da!" I couldn't believe it. Jose couldn't have been happier. I think he was more excited than I was when she first said "ma ma." Our little girl is growing up so fast. Now she won't stop saying "da da." She looks so cute when she says it too. I'm a little weirded out because next she'll be saying her first word. I'm looking forward to it but I just can't believe that we're already to this point. IT'S ONLY BEEN 8 1/2 MONTHS!!!! It's going by too fast.

Getting In Touch With Your Heritage at 8 1/2 Months Old

Last night we're sitting at the table eating dinner. Mina was getting fussy so Jose picked her up and held her in his lap while he finished eating. She kept eyeing his food so he gave her a little piece of tortilla. She seemed content until she saw him drink his Kool-Aide. Everytime he brought the glass close to her she opened her mouth expecting to get some. So they took turns drinking Kool-Aide. And as she waited for her turn, she sucked on her little piece of tortilla. It was the cutest thing. We were joking that she's in touch with her Black and Mexican sides already. Now she just needs to like something that will bring out her White side.

An Unexpected Result

About three weeks ago, I finally went in to have my first papsmear since having Mina. I was fine with it because I've always had normal results, so you can imagine my shock when they wanted me to call them back. If you didn't guess already, my results came back abnormal. I cried while I was talking to my mom because it hit me that something could be wrong. I went online to see what could cause the abnormal results and what I found wasn't very reassuring. I have to schedule another visit so the doctor can perform a colposcopy. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried but I'm hoping for the best. As long as it's nothing life threatening and I can still have kids than I'll be ok. Until the results...

Mommy Freakout #3

I feel like the worst mommy ever. Saturday morning Mina was sitting on the bed playing while Jose was sleeping and I was in and out of sleep myself. All of a sudden Jose and I were woken up by a loud thud and screaming. I jumped out of bed and realized that Mina was no where to be seen. I walked to the edge of the bed and there she was sprawled out on her back crying. She obviously had crawled all the way to the edge of the bed and flipped off of it. Jose immediately picked her up and we checked to make sure that nothing was broken. Funny thing: there were no tears. She wasn't crying. She was just really freaked out because she had no idea what had happened. I felt so horrible. Even though she was sick all weekend, she managed to crawl and stand herself up. She even says mama now. Actually she says," Ah ma, ah ma." But it's the same to me. She's still calling for me. I was getting worried that she would never crawl and just start walking. She started pulling herself up almost a month ago. She just decided to take her time. She wanted to learn how to make funny noises, laugh and scream first before she started to crawl. Now I'm constantly holding on to her so she doesn't crawl off the bed. Everyone told me that once she started crawling, I'd have my hands full. I thought we would make it Mina's whole first year without a sign of a cold or illness. Unfortunately, Jose passed his sickness to Mina (and to me). Our poor baby has been sick all weekend. She has a stuffy nose and is coughing to the point that she sounds like a little seal. I called the nurse (and my mom) and they gave me a list of things to buy for Mina. She has her cough medicine and her saline drops. She has Vicks baby rub and a little vapor plug-in for her room. It's such a pain in the ass giving her all of her medicine. She's pretty good with her cough medicine but it's absolute HELL putting those drops up her nose. I don't blame her one bit. Luckily, she's getting better. Maybe once she's better she won't be sooooo clingy. It's to the point where I can't leave a room without her crying.

I Have a Confession

I MIGHT BE PREGNANT...AGAIN!!!!!! It's been about a month and a half since my last period. Surprisingly, I'm not worried or stressed. I'm actually excited at the thought of another baby. Yeah, I know, Mina's only 7 months. But if you think about it, she would be over a year old in 9 months. I think it's a good age gap. Not too close, not too far apart. I've taken one test already that came back negative but you never know. I might just have my doctor do a blood test. I had the day off from work but unfortunately my hubby didn't. He would have but last month he unexpectedly got a new job. So now his days off are Saturdays and Sundays. Since he's new, there was no way he could have gotten it off. My day was spent just cleaning house and taking care of Mina. I did get the shit scared out of me. Around 5:00 I decided to jump in the shower before my hubby got home. When I was almost done, Mina started crying (I'm sure because she didn't know where I was). I finished my shower, jumped out and realized that I didn't hear her anymore. I was about to walk out of the bathroom when all of a sudden Mina was right in my face. Of course I screamed which scared the crap out of her. How did it happen you ask? My hubby got off work early and was holding Mina out in front of him "pretending" to hide behind her. He definitely surprised me. He took me out to dinner to the Chinese buffet by our house. It was good but I would have liked to have gone to Red Lobster but we're broke. It was a pretty boring birthday. I did get a really great birthday present. I passed the Subtest #1 for the CSET. I didn't study for it and I was hoping and praying that I passed. If you clicked on the link for the Subtest #1, you can see how lucky I really was to have taken that monster of a test and actually passed it "cold turkey." That really made my birthday better. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!

Oh, and a belated Happy Easter from our little bunny.

Mina Citlally Martinez: The Next Great American Writer

My baby is a genius! We started her out on green beans. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen. When I put the spoon in her mouth with the baby food on it, she gave me this look like "What the fuck are you putting in my mouth." She pushed it out with her tongue which made the green puree get all over her mouth. After the third or fourth time of letting her suck it off the spoon, she started to get the hang of things. Now this week we've started her on carrots. She seems to like these too and is actually opening her mouth a little for me. She actually ate a lot more this time but she was still hungry afterwards. So we'll be giving her carrots for the week at lunch and dinner and then we'll switch to a new veggie. Maybe we'll try sweet potatoes next.

Mmmm, green beans.

The carrots are even better

I added this one just because...she's so cute!

Mina's First Road Trip

Yesterday, the three of us drove all the way to Santa Fe Springs and then to Compton. For those of you who don't know where these places are, they're in Los Angeles, about two hours from us. We didn't take anything for Mina to lay in or sit in just a couple of toys for her to play with. We were hoping that everyone would want to play with her and hold her. She did amazing. She slept almost the whole way there. Then everyone at my brother-in-law's house wanted to hold her. The only time she cried was when she was hungry which was only about four times. She only took two naps because she wanted to see what all of the commotion was about. She must have had a ball. She didn't even cry when she was being held by strangers. She loves people and being the center of attention. We couldn't be luckier. Now we know that we can travel and not worry about how she'll do away from home. Next road trip: DISNEYLAND!!!!!

Rash Update

Mina and I went to the doctor this morning and after waiting for about half an hour, I found out that the rash was not from something I ate (the fish tacos). The rash is actually because she's in her transition phase of getting eczema. My mom has it and I guess Mina inherited it from her. She also has really sensitive skin. If she gets too hot, she gets a heat rash. So now I have to go and buy new soap and shampoo for her. The doctor recommended Dove for her body and Head and Shoulders (or something like it) for her scalp. Gary suggested Aveeno instead of the Dove, so I'll probably try that first. We got a prescription for Triamcinalone Cream. So the list of creams go as follows: Nystatin and Triamcinalone cream for her neck, and Hydrocortisone cream for her face and the rest of her body. Every time we give her a bath, we have to pat her dry and then apply a moisturizing cream to seal in the moisture. The rash should start to go away shortly after we start this daily regiment. The doctor also said that her "flare up" was because of the weather right now and because she probably has allergies. I was relieved that the rash had nothing to do with what I ate but I do feel bad that she has such sensitive skin. We were able to give her 2ml of benadryl to help stop the itching. She didn't like the taste as much as the liquid Tylenol we have. So she likes the grape flavor and not bubblegum flavor. So all and all, it was good news.

Cuteness Overload

Mommy Freakout #1

This morning I woke up and noticed that Mina had a rash all over her face and neck. Of course I freaked out! It seems that I ate something yesterday that she's having an allergic reaction to. If you didn't guess already, yes, I am breastfeeding. I had fish tacos from Rubio's that I haven't had since I was pregnant. My poor baby. She's covered in little bumps all the way down to her tummy. And on top of that it itches. She keeps rubbing her eyes. She was up almost all night screaming because of the rash. She has a dr's appointment tomorrow morning. Hopefully, they can give her something to get rid of it. I've definitely been on edge all day because I'm worried about her. Something happened at work that sent me over the edge today. It was minor, especially to everyone else, but it was enough for me to flip out. We have a tracking sheet in our back room with our names next to our progress. Well, I got off the phone with the nurse and was about to walk out front when I noticed that my name was wiped off. I know who it was even though that SOMEONE still hasn't admitted to it. I know it was her because we can't stand eachother and I know she assumed that I wiped off her name first. What, are we in fucking elementary school? As I recall I'm turning 25 next month and I have other, bigger fucking issues to deal with. And to set the record straight: I DID NOT WIPE HER NAME OFF OF THE BOARD (fucking immature little bitch). I'm sorry but I'm just not in the mood for the bullshit. Ok so the moral of the story is: I won't be eating at Rubio's for a while and don't mess with me when I'm worried about my baby!

Toys That I Want To Buy Mina

Fisher Price sends me emails every month with ideas for developmental toys. I've found a lot of toys that have decent prices. I think Mina will have a ball with these. We're going to buy her these two:

Kick & Whirl Carnival
http://www.fisher-price.com/us/infanttoys/product.asp?id=28538&media=166300&history=4&s=buplayzone
I think she'll love this because she loves to move her feet especially when she gets excited. Plus, she can still use this when she can sit up by herself (she's almost there).

Baby Playzone Take-Along Hop 'n Pop
http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=20&e=bgdetail&selcat=bgetn&pid=27468&email=1
I think she'll have a lot of fun with this when she wants to move around the house plus it folds up for easy traveling and storage.

Miracles & Milestones Magical Mobile Gym
http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2011&e=detail&selcat=bgtoys&pid=34785
This was just sent to me today. It seems like she'ddefinitelyy like this but I'm not sure if we'll get it for her. We already want to get the Kick & Whirl for her. I want to get her more toys where she'd be sitting up. It's a cute gym though, so we'll see.

Work, I Hate It!

When I first went out on maternity leave, I had decided to stay out the full 12 weeks that I was allowed by the state. But after the first couple of checks I received, my husband convinced me to go back to work after only 6 weeks. Although we had enough money to pay the bills, we were just making it (just like Brooke and MB). Of course, I was not happy about this and I really tried to talk my husband into letting me extend my leave. I gave in because I knew he was right. It's been almost a month since I've been back to work. The first week was harder than I thought. I was so cranky because I was away from Mina. One day I called home to see how things were going and I heard Mina crying in the background. I started uncontrollably crying like a big baby. I miss her so much but I know being a "housewife" would have driven me insane. I don't like just staying at home. I'm used to working, being in school, and being a wife. Now I have mommy to add to that list. It has gotten a little easier being away from the baby but it's still hard. I can't wait to get off work and pick her up from my mom's. I miss our play time in the morning after she's eaten. I try to play with her when we get home at night but usually she's sleeping or I'm just too tired. We've sort of gotten a routine down in the morning but sometimes she just wants to sleep. It consists of feeding her, changing her, and trying to play with her. It's hectic in the morning because I try not to wake Daddy up since he gets off at 2:30 in the morning so I have to take care of her and get ready for work. I really didn't want to come back to work because I have come to hate my job. Let's just say that when you work with someone that you can't stand, you don't want to come to work. I was dreading coming back to my job because that person is STILL HERE for reasons I will never understand. I was surprised that the new people that were hired while I was gone are really cool. I would definitely stay if that SOMEONE would quit or get fired. But she wants to make our lives miserable so she stays. Right before I came back to work, I applied at every bank I could think of (sorry Em but you knew it was coming). I've already had a phone interview with a bank really close to home and they want me to come in for a second one. I'm still torn as to whether I will accept the position. It is more money and closer to home. We'll see what happens.

For Your Viewing Pleasure

<img style="DISPLAY: block; It's been confirmed that she is getting much bigger. She weighed a whopping 10lbs 5oz! If you don't know already, she only weighed 7lbs 9oz when she was born (11/8/05) and was 7lbs 12oz last month. My little one LOVES to eat! Luckily, she doesn't look like a little porker. She still looks tiny. She's also grown two inches since she was born. We're hoping that she'll be tall. But after all of the excitement was over, it was time for her shots. My poor baby was already crying because she was cold and it just got worse after that. My hubby was the one holding her and I knew exactly when she got shot because she started crying louder to the point where there was no sound just tears. She had a total of 4 shots, two in each leg. Poor baby! At least she had cute bandaids. One had Taz on it and the other had clowns. She probably doesn't even remember what happened to her. We have to go through this again in two more months.

My One Month Old!

I think she's the cutest baby in the world but maybe that's because she's mine.

The Big Day

On November 7, we had our last prenatal appointment. Our doctor performed another ultrasound to see just how big the baby was since she hadn't dropped yet. The ultrasound determined that she was about 8 1/2 lbs. So our doctor decided to induce me and if that didn't work then she would perform a C-section. "So how does tomorrow sound?" My husband and I looked at eachother in shock and told her that was fine. We started laughing uncontrollably because we were in such shock. We were expecting her to say the next week since that's when I was due. The next morning we arrived at the hospital at about 6:30 and the process was started. Once I put that cute hospital gown on I realized that I was scared shitless. I told my family that I changed my mind and I wanted to go home (joking of course). They wrapped the monitors around my belly and we were able to hear Mina's heartbeat the entire time I was in labor. I was finally given Petocin at 8AM and the contractions slowly started. I had the sweetest nurse in the world. She was so supportive and funny. I had the greatest experience because of her. She answered every question I threw at her. My mom and grandma loved her too. I think my husband did too but he was asleep for the majority of the day. When my nurse first checked to see my progression, I was basically at a fingertip and my cervix was still in tact. A few hours later and after a wonderful nap, my mucous plug was gone and I was effaced 50%. All while taking a nap. My doctor later came and broke my water and I had gone from 1 cm to 3 cm. As soon as my water broke, the contractions came hard and fast. They turned off the Petocin but I was having the contractions on my own. I had originally been against having and epidural but I couldn't take the pain anymore. There weren't any breaks in between contractions and it hurt so bad that I couldn't help but cry. So I got my epidural which surprisingly was a piece of cake. The baby finally dropped and I started feeling the pressure more. It was extremely uncomfortable. I finally broke down and wanted to have the C-section. The doctor agreed because I wouldn't dilate past 4 cm. So after 12 hours of labor, I was whisked away to the OR. I was beyond scared. My fear was not having enough anesthesia and being able to feel the cutting. They had already started when they brought my husband in. He said it was the longest 5 minutes he's ever had to wait. It seemed like he had just gotten there when we heard Mina cry. They raised her over the sheet and I started balling like a baby. All of that work for that one moment. My husband got to see me cut open and he was very distracted by that. They cleaned Mina up and my husband left with her and the nurse. I was left by myself for the rest of the operation. It was the longest 30 minutes of my life and uncomfortable. Mina was born on November 8, 2005 at 9:33 PM. She weighed 7lbs 9 oz (to my doctors surprise) and was 20" long. She's perfect! It was so worth it.

She's Just As Stubborn As Us

This past Tuesday we had our regular Dr's appointment. I was really excited that day because we all thought that the baby had started to drop. So I was thinking that we were getting really close to labor time. So our doctor comes in and does her normal thing. I asked her if the baby had definitely started to drop. The answer: No. Obviously my little bubble of excitement was busted. Actually, fear and panic started to take over. Two weeks ago I asked our doctor what would happen if she didn't drop. She told me I'd probably have to have a C-section. So I started worrying that I would have to have a C-section and honestly I'm still freaking out about it. I don't want a C-section!!!!! Why? It's simple.

It's SURGERY. I've had 3 already and I don't want another.

You're awake while they do it. How creepy is that?!

One word...EPIDURAL. I watched my mom get one and I saw how big that needle is.

You don't get to participate in the birth of your baby. So important to me.

It's better for the baby in the long run. That's my Human Development mode kicking in.

Recovery time is generally longer.

It's SURGERY!

I know it may seem that I'm overreacting especially to women who have had C-sections but this is my first baby and obviously I'm nervous. I'm not even nervous about having a natural childbirth. I pretty much know what to expect. With a C-section, I don't know what to expect. I know the procedure and that's it. Last night I woke up to go to the bathroom and I couldn't go back to sleep because I kept thinking about stupid C-sections. Don't get me wrong though. If I have to have one then I'll have one. What ever it takes to have this baby and for her to be healthy. And thanks, Em. I believe you have jinxed me. Mina obviously doesn't want to come out. She's comfortable and stubborn. So instead of Emily's mantra of "twins, twins, twins, split, split, split." I say, "drop, drop, drop, listen to your mommy and drop."

Mina's Daddy is Sooo Funny

My husband constantly cracks me up. He's so tall and intimidating but he's just a big teddy bear inside especially when it comes to our baby. He's been an active daddy from the day we found out we were pregnant. He's gone to every appointment and even watched what I ate during my first and second trimesters. He even said from day one that he wanted to decorate the nursery. I couldn't say no to that! So as we've gotten things from our baby showers, he's been putting them together. I just sit there watching him and enjoying the show. Something always seems to happen when he's working on her room. For example, he was putting the bassinet together and neither one of us were sure if he was doing it right. It took him 5 minutes to find the little holes in it that the directions were talking about. First-time parents? That we are! He was setting up her swing today and he called me in the room to show me his accomplishment and to show me how it worked. He showed me how you can collapse it for storage and as he said, "Then you do like this to open it back up but make sure you hear the snap," the leg smacked him in the shin. I started dying from laughter and in between his laughter he managed to say, "not that snap." I can't wait until she's older so I can tell her how funny he was putting her baby things together. At least he's not one of those guys that gets frustrated and breaks the damn thing. He's surprisingly very patient with this stuff.

WORK! What is that?

Tomorrow I will have officially been on maternity leave for a week. You don't even know how nice this past week has been. Getting up whenever I feel like it (actually when she wakes me up), getting to use my toilet instead of the public ones at work, and eating whenever I feel like it. Most importantly, I get to work on the nursery and tidy up the house. I'm like a little kid when it comes to her room. I beg my husband to work on the room and when he says yes (like I know he will), I jump up and down because I'm so excited. I obviously don't really jump up and down considering I'm getting ready to pop. But it helps you to visualize my excitement. Well, back to not having to go to work. I'm surprised that I've been so active this week. I've been so uncomfortable and exhausted this past month that I thought I would be lazy my first week on leave. I guess it's because I know what I have to do. Technically, I could have my baby any day now and I want to be as ready as I can. So it looks like I'll be creating a routine for myself this upcoming week. This will consist of waking up whenever I feel like waking up, cleaning up the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms, and working on her room. I'll probably pee about 10 times from the time I wake up till I take my first break (sooo not exaggerating here). I always wonder how I can pee 5 minutes after I've already peed. I'll definitely be eating/snacking in between all of this cleaning. I'll probably take a nap somewhere in between as well. I don't usually like to clean but I want the baby to come home to a decent looking house. I don't know if anyone else has heard of this but I've been told that some women tend to clean excessively right before they go into labor. It's some weird nesting thing that happens. Could this be a sign? I do have only 3 weeks left. We'll see what happens.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://leggomyprego.blogspot.com/2005/10/work-what-is-that.html' title='WORK! Actually, I think it's safe to say that they are every woman's worst nightmare. Yes, I'm talking about those dreaded stretch marks. I personally have had stretch marks for a good majority of my life but they've been skin color for quite some time too. As I've gone through my pregnancy, I've waited and waited to see new ones. About 4 months went by and I never saw a new mark. So I was esctatic and thought that I wasn't going to get any new ones (I also thought that I was going to carry my baby low like my mom). Was I ever wrong! I remember the day that I saw my first couple of stretch marks. They looked like two little pink scratches. I even showed my Assistant Manager who was like my second mom when it came to my pregnancy. Ok, so I have two little marks. Nothing to freak out about, right? WRONG! I'm 8 months now, carrying my baby right under my boobs, and the wole area from my waist to my boobs is covered in these damn, ugly marks. I never remembered how ugly stretch marks were when they were new. It looks like my baby has scratched me all over from the inside. At first I started to become self-conscious in front of my husband (I know I'm crazy) because they're just so damn hiddeous. He just felt really bad for me. Looks like the coco butter lotion (not cream) just doesn't work. But you know what? My pregnancy is almost over and I'm to the point now where I just say "screw it." The stretch marks were pretty much inevitable and at least I have a better excuse as to why I have them. I'm pregnant not just fat! So I have excepted my new friends and my husband always tells me that my weight gain and new stretch marks are all love. So I shouldn't complain because it's all because we're having a baby!

Oh yeah, I don't recommend using coco butter lotion. It's too thin.

A Work in Progress

I started this blog way back in March for a teaching class I was taking. Now a bunch of people I know are actually creating blogs on here so I decided to jump on the bandwagon. So right now I am in the middle of changing my entire page. I'm actually learning how to do all the fun things that can be associated with blogging like adding pictures and changing fonts. I never ventured through my account when I originally set this up. Frankly, I didn't want to and had no desire to. Now I'm interested in learning how to "beef up" my page since I've become a regular blogger on MySpace. I went ahead and left my very first post on here so you could see when I actually started this thing up. I deleted all of the other posts because they were strictly school related and I'm sure anyone who wasn't in my class would be totally confused. So as the title says: It's a work in progress.

My first blog

I just created my blog. It seems pretty easy. I'm so glad it's Spring Break because I'm exhausted. I luckily got the week off from work as well. I'll be using this blog while I'm in the credential program and during my first year of teaching. Just a quick note off the subject: Just found out this weekend that my hubby and I are expecting our first baby in November. Actually, I wonder how this will effect my career as a teacher. I have no plans on dropping out of school.

I'll write more about our web page assignment later.
Hope everyone is enjoying Spring Break!
